An intimacy coordinator is speaking out after Jenna Ortega and Martin Freeman‘s new movie Miller’s Girl sparked controversy thanks to a sex scene starring the two actors.

In the movie, Jenna, 21, plays a teenaged student who shares a steamy moment with her teacher, played by Martin, 52. Some have called out the age gap.

However, intimacy coordinator Kristina Arjona offered some insight into the decisions that were made behind the scenes.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Kristina stressed that both Jenna and Martin were “comfortable” to film together.

There were particular efforts to make sure that Jenna was alright with the scenes.

“She was very determined and very sure of what she wanted to do,” Kristina said. “Part of my job too is supporting her decisions. I adapt to whatever is the comfort level of my actors, especially on a production like this where there is a large age gap between the actors.”

“Continuous consent” was essential while filming. The actors were given notice 48 hours before filming any scene about what it would entail and what protections were in place for them. Kristina added that they could “change their mind” the day they filmed.

Topics of conversation included the “level of nudity” that the stars were alright with and various tools that could be used to maintain an “appropriate distance” between them.

“I’m hyper aware of both of my talent and making sure that we’re consistently checking in and that at no point are any of their boundaries being surpassed,” she said.

One month after reports broke that Jenna Ortega was in talks to join the cast of Taika Waititi‘s new movie Klara and the Sun, it appears that Amy Adams has also joined the conversation.

Wednesday season 2 is coming soon!

The Netflix series, starring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Adams, was renewed for a second season in January following a successful debut on the streaming platform.

Wednesday season 2 is tentatively scheduled to start filming in April 2024, Variety reports.

Additionally, the outlet confirmed that the show will shoot its second season in Ireland, a shift from Romania, where season 1′s production was held.

Starring alongside Jenna in Wednesday season 1 were Gwendoline Christie, Jamie McShane, Percy Hynes White, Hunter Doohan, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Naomi J. Ogawa, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Riki Lindhome, and Christina Ricci.

The 21-year-old Wednesday star even admitted that at one point, she wanted to dye her hair blonde as a result of some rejection she had been facing.

She told Harper’s Bazaar UK, “As a child actor, there are two jobs that you can get: you’re either the younger version of someone or you’re playing somebody’s daughter – and there were just not many leading Hispanic actors who I could be that for. So a lot of the jobs that I was going for growing up would never work out, because I didn’t look [a certain] way. That was really hard, to hear that something you couldn’t change was what was preventing you [from succeeding].”

She confessed, “I wanted to dye my hair blonde so that I would look like Cinderella.”

She then came to her own realization: “I thought, ‘I don’t want other young girls to look up at the screen and feel like they have to change their appearance to be deemed beautiful or worthy.’”

Lola Tung, Jisoo and Jenna Ortega hit up the Dior Spring/Summer 2024 fashion show held on Tuesday (September 26) in Paris, France.

The three stars joined several other celebs as they attended the Paris Fashion Week runway presentation.

Other stars who were at the show were Yara Shahidi, Maya Hawke, Rosalia and Chiara Ferragni, as well as The Hunger Games stars Rachel Zegler and Jennifer Lawrence.

If you missed it, Rachel and Jennifer actually got to meet each other as they both sat front row, just a few spots down from each other. Jennifer of course starred in the original Hunger Games movies, while Rachel will be the leading lady in the upcoming The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

The 20-year-old Wednesday actress and 60-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star were romantically linked following a report from Deuxmoi that they were spotted together.

Alongside romance rumors, there were also suggestions that Johnny might be making an appearance in the forthcoming Beetlejuice 2, which Jenna stars in.

As the rumors started circulating, Jenna and Johnny both reacted.

Johnny‘s team issued a statement to NME that soundly denied all of the whispers.

There was a theft on the Beetlejuice 2 set!

Vermont State Police revealed that there have been two props stolen from the set since the strikes have started, according to People.

According to the police report, a lamppost and an abstract art sculpture were taken from the set.

The sequel had been filming in East Corinth, Vermont, ahead of the strikes commencing and in the report, it says that the movie’s security team reported that someone had removed “a large lamppost topped with a distinctive pumpkin decoration” on July 14.

Then, just a few days later, the abstract art, which Beetlejuice fans will instantly recognize as one of the Delia Deetz sculptures that comes to life was swiped from a cemetery the movie had filmed in.

The VSP says that they are on the lookout for “an older model GMC pickup truck” for the first theft.

The sequel, will bring back Michael Keaton as the title ghost, as well as Winona Ryder and Jenna Ortega.
