Lana Condor and Madeleine Arthur stepped out for the premiere of The Locksmith held at UTA Screening Room on Monday evening (January 30) in Los Angeles.

The To All The Boys co-stars and IRL besties both opted for a black blazer moment for the screening.

Also seen in attendance were stars of the movie Ryan Phillippe, Charlie Weber and Gabriela Quezada.

The upcoming movie follows Miller (Phillippe), an ex-con recently released from prison for a bungled robbery, tries to walk a straight line and work his way back into the lives of his ex, Beth (Kate Bosworth), a police detective, and their young daughter.

While Miller is doing his best to stay on the straight and narrow with the help of an old friend (Ving Rhames), he finds his past will not stay in the past, and he is forced to commit one last crime before he can truly walk away. Things once again go badly, and now not only his freedom, but also his daughter’s life, hang in the balance.

Jenna Ortega is mourning the loss of actress Lisa Loring.

The late actress passed away this past weekend at the age of 64, after being taken off life support following a massive stroke, with her daughter Vanessa Foumberg confirming the sad news.

“She went peacefully with both her daughters holding her hands,” she shared with Variety.

Lisa was most well-known for portraying Wednesday Addams in the 1960s TV series, The Addams Family, which aired for two seasons.

“It is with great sadness that I report the death of our friend, Lisa Loring. 4 Days ago she suffered a massive stroke brought on by smoking and high blood pressure. She had been on life support for 3 days. Yesterday, her family made the difficult decision to remove it and she passed last night,” Lisa‘s close friend Laurie Jacobson shared on Facebook.

“She is embedded in the tapestry that is pop culture and in our hearts always as Wednesday Addams. Beautiful, kind, a loving mother, Lisa’s legacy in the world of entertainment is huge. And the legacy for her family and friends — a wealth of humor, affection and love will long play in our memories. RIP, Lisa. Damn, girl…you were a ton of fun.”

Following the news, Jenna, who currently plays Wednesday Addams on Netflix, took to her Instagram Story to mourn the loss.

“Absolutely devastated. Thank you for everything,” she wrote, while sharing two photos of Lisa in character as Wednesday.

Ghostface is ready to take a bite (literally) out of the Big Apple.

“Scream VI” marks the first film sans Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott. Directed by Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the sixth franchise installment sees returning “Scream 5” stars Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown), Chad (Mason Gooding), and Tara (Jenna Ortega) attending college, with Tara’s half-sister Sam (Melissa Barrera) also moving to New York to protect her. The script is penned by “Scream 5” co-screenwriters James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick.

“At the top of the film we see my character Tara avoiding her trauma and desperately trying to reclaim her teenage experience and become normal college student,” Ortega told Entertainment Weekly. “There’s a lot of tension between her and Sam, she feels as though she’s too protective and unwilling to allow them both to move on. She feels suffocated.”

Well, Ghostface could make that feeling a reality as “Scream VI” also ushers in a whole new crop of suspects. Dermot Mulroney makes his franchise debut as a police officer, while Samara Weaving and Tony Revolori are also fresh faces. “Scream 4” alum Hayden Panettiere is back as wise-cracking cinephile Kirby, with original star Courteney Cox returning as reporter Gale Weathers. Rumors have swirled that “Scream” alum Matthew Lillard, who played one-half of the original Ghostface murderer in the 1996 film alongside Skeet Ulrich, will appear in some capacity despite his character’s perceived death.

“Bringing Ghostface to New York adds an entirely new element to the story,” Cox told EW. “Taking the character out of a small town and putting them in the heart of the city that never sleeps is more terrifying than ever.”

As (supposed) new final girl Ortega said, the “Scream” franchise “just gets more and more gory” with Ghostface the most “violent” audiences have ever seen.

Longtime “Scream” star Campbell announced in June 2022 that she was exiting the franchise after almost 30 years as Sidney Prescott. “I did not feel that what I was being offered equated to the value that I bring to this franchise, and have brought to this franchise, for 25 years,” Campbell said of the salary dispute that led to her exit. “As a woman in this business, I think it’s really important for us to be valued and to fight to be valued. I honestly don’t believe that if I were a man and had done five installments of a huge blockbuster franchise over 25 years, that the number that I was offered would be the number that would be offered to a man.”

Campbell has appeared in all five “Scream” films since the first, directed by Wes Craven, was released in 1996. All in all, the franchise has grossed over $744 million at the box office.

“Scream 6” premieres in theaters March 10.

About Gaga getting in on the Wednesday TikTok trend, she told Variety, “It’s really strange. You know what’s funny? A long time ago I worked with a hairdresser that worked with Gaga and I just had seen Gaga in concert a few years before. [The hairdresser got] Gaga [to make] me a video saying she heard I was a fan. Gaga made me a sweet video. I doubt she remembers. But to see her to do that now…it’s one of those moments you realize life changes really fast.”

The Golden Globes are back, baby!

After going untelevised in 2022, the Golden Globes returns in time to celebrate its 80th anniversary. With films like “Top Gun: Maverick,” “TÁR,” “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” “Babylon,” and “The Fabelmans” leading the nominations, the 2023 Globes proved to be a star-studded historic moment for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

TV series such as “Severance,” “The White Lotus,” “The Crown,” and “Better Call Saul” are among the contenders for top television awards. It’s no wonder that fan favorite “The White Lotus” alum Jennifer Coolidge is tapping into the Sicily-set sultriness for her red carpet glam as a presenter for the evening, plus “Alaska Daily” Globe nominee Hilary Swank keeps it steamy ahead of the ceremony.

Jennifer Coolidge is leaving behind the murderous yachts and islands of Sicily for the no-less-dramatic world of the Golden Globes. The “White Lotus” star will be one of the presenters at Tuesday’s award ceremony, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced Monday.

In addition to Coolidge, Claire Danes, Cole Hauser, Glen Powell, Harvey Guillén, Henry Golding, Hilary Swank, Jay Ellis, Jenna Ortega, Jennifer Hudson, Letitia Wright, Mo Brings Plenty, Regina Hall, and Salma Hayek Pinault will also serve as presenters at the event. They join the first wave of presenters announced at the ceremony, which included Ana De Armas, Ana Gasteyer, Billy Porter, Colman Domingo, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Natasha Lyonne, Nicole Byer, Niecy Nash-Betts, Quentin Tarantino, and Tracy Morgan.

Of the new lineup, several of the stars are currently in contention at the Globes. Coolidge is nominated in the limited series supporting actress category for her performance as Tanya in Season 2 of “The White Lotus,” along with Claire Danes for “Fleishman Is In Trouble,” Hilary Swank received a nod in the lead drama actress category for her ABC series “Alaska Daily,” and Jenna Ortega made the cut in the lead comedy actress category for her breakout role in Netflix’s smash-hit series “Wednesday.”

In addition to the presenters, HFPA also announced that the ceremony will include a videotaped message from Ukrainian president Vlodoymyr Zelenskyy, which will be introduced by Sean Penn. This year’s Golden Globes, which will be hosted by Emmy-winning comedian Jerrod Carmichael, is an attempted comeback for the award show, typically the second-most popular film award ceremony every year after the Oscars. Last year’s ceremony went untelevised after NBC dropped the ceremony in response to a backlash against the HFPA for lack of diversity and accusations of corruption. The organization has since attempted to regain favor among stars and Hollywood publicists through reforms, including a dramatic increase in the number of voters.

Reports of the death of “Wednesday” at Netflix have been greatly exaggerated. Just days after the spread of rumors that the “Addams Family” teen series might leave the streamer for its rival, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix finally gave a second season renewal to the series January 6, confirming that it would air “Only on Netflix.”

“It’s been incredible to create a show that has connected with people across the world,” showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar said in a statement to Netflix’s official fandom website Tudum. “Thrilled to continue Wednesday’s tortuous journey into season two. We can’t wait to dive headfirst into another season and explore the kooky spooky world of Nevermore. Just need to make sure Wednesday hasn’t emptied the pool first.”

Since its eight-episode first season premiered on November 23, “Wednesday” has been touted by Netflix as one of its all-time most successful series, breaking a variety of records (for English-language shows, at least. “Squid Game” still reigns supreme overall): biggest debut week of a Netflix show at 341.23 million hours viewed! Biggest week overall at 411.3 million hours viewed! Third ever billion-hour season, behind only “Squid Game” and “Stranger Things 4!”

In spite of this blazing success at the streamer, there was some speculation from outlets like The Independent that Netflix waiting over a month to renew the show was due to issues with the production company MGM, which was acquired by Amazon in a deal last spring, and that the series might potentially move to Prime Video. A source at MGM told IndieWire that the deal between MGM and Netflix to produce the series was set before the Amazon acquisition, and thus would not be affected.

Based on “The Addams Family” cartoons created by Charles Addams, “Wednesday” stars Jenna Ortega as the titular character, the daughter of the famously macabre family and a teenage girl with a deadpan disposition and love of violence. The series sees Wednesday shipped off to Nevermore Academy, where she makes new friends, develops psychic abilities, and investigates a string of murders around the town of Jericho, Vermont. Ortega is joined in the cast by Gwendoline Christie, Jamie McShane, Percy Hynes White, Hunter Doohan, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Naomi J Ogawa, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Riki Lindhome, and Christina Ricci, whose portrayal of Wednesday in the 1991 and 1993 “Addams Family” films helped define the character’s iconic personality and look. The show also features Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Fred Armisen, and Isaac Ordonez in recurring roles as the other Addams Family members.

Since its release, “Wednesday” received mixed reviews, with many critics praising Ortega’s portrayal of the character but criticizing the writing as derivative of other teen shows. In his review, IndieWire TV critic Ben Travers wrote: “When it comes to the macabre, Wednesday (and, more so, ‘Wednesday’) is all talk and little action — a well-rounded character hammered into the rectangular icon on your Netflix homescreen, by an algorithm built to conform.”

Last year, it was announced that Amazon and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) had officially merged. The $8.5 billion deal closed in March of 2022, and Wednesday debuted on Netflix in November of 2022. The issue? MGM owns the rights to The Addams Family, meaning Amazon theoretically could have first dibs for the show to be on Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service for season 2. The show stars Jenna Ortega in the lead role.

Some other details have been explained including that Amazon previously said it does not plan to exclusively stream the rights to all MGM content. In addition, Netflix could theoretically pay for the rights to stream season two, The Independent reports.

None of this has been confirmed by any party involved, so at this time, it’s largely speculation that is now spreading rapidly on social media.

If you missed it, a Netflix exec was asked if Wednesday was getting a season two and now, knowing this information, perhaps his answer was a little more telling!
